About
firstthousandusers.com is a set of short guides on how founders, builders and indie hackers get their first users. Each guide covers one channel or tactic and sits at the stage of a project where it applies. The map shows which guides fit your product type, budget, time and audience.
How guides are written
- One tactic per guide.
- Steps come first. A reader should know what to do within a minute.
- Results are stated realistically, with no inflated numbers or promises.
- Each guide rates its fit for every product type and explains the exceptions.
Adding a guide
Each guide is one markdown file. Its frontmatter holds every field used by the map, the filters and the guide page. Adding a file adds a node to the map and a row to the list.
